» History of JDC

Perhaps the most outstanding feature of the Improved Hard Process is its promise to substantially reduce the environmental footprint of manufacturing phosphoric acid. There are no gypsum stacks or gypsum ponds with the process as dry aggregates are the co-product from the process which appear inert and may be useful as an aggregate. With favorable ores, slimes and tailings ponds are eliminated. It is a dry process designed to reduce groundwater and surface water issues at the plant. It produces high quality liquid fertilizers which allow higher conveyance to the plant through fertigation practice, reducing groundwater and surface water pollution at the point of use.

JDC, Inc. is active in co-operative programs with private, university, and government labs to more fully characterize the environmental footprint of the Improved Hard Process.
